    Job Title: Crane Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Crane Technician to join our Fort Worth branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong in both mechanical and electrical systems, with at least 5 years of experience. The role involves inspecting cranes, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring high-quality service in manufacturing and production environments. The technician must be independent, customer-focused, and comfortable working at heights. Regular travel is required, typically from Monday to Thursday each week.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead cranes and hoists.

    + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.

    + Support customers by effectively interfacing with them and the office in repairing equipment as needed.

    + Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs for customers.

    + Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.

    + Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations, OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections, documenting and completing warranty work, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to repair calls.

    + Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.

    + Build and maintain customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customers of problems, and completing jobs in a timely manner.

    + Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.

    + Fabricate and weld structures as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Crane inspection

    + Overhead crane maintenance

    + Electrical (including 3-phase systems)

    + Mechanical troubleshooting

    + Pneumatics

    + Troubleshooting electrical maintenance

    + Reading and understanding schematics

    + Welding and fabrication

    + Hydraulics

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent people skills for dealing with customers

    + Ability to work independently from day one

    + Comfortable climbing up to cranes

    + Flexibility to travel weekly

The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with a split of 50% indoor and 50% outdoor work. The team consists of up to 10 Crane Technicians.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
