    Emmy Squared Pizza , based in vibrant Nashville, TN, is a growing leader in the hospitality industry, known for our passion, innovation, and dedication to excellence. We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team and play a critical role in driving our financial success as we expand.

    About the Role

    As Controller, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and lead all accounting operations. You’ll ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while providing strategic insights to support our growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee the period-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

    + Maintain the accuracy and compliance of financial statements in line with GAAP.

    + Optimize accounting processes for efficiency in a high-growth environment.

    + Collaborate with external auditors and lead the year-end audit process.

    + Manage treasury functions, including cash forecasting and banking relationships.

    + Mentor and develop the accounting team to achieve their full potential.

    + Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate financial records.

    + Stay updated on regulatory changes to keep the company compliant and competitive.

     

    What We’re Looking For

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).

    + Proven experience as a Controller or senior financial leader, ideally in hospitality.

    + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.

    + Advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

    + Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.

    + Effective communicator and team leader with a collaborative mindset.
