Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile heavy equipment operator foreman for our grading division and commercial utility projects. This role requires an operator who can handle scrapers, excavators, dozers, compactors, front end loaders, and other heavy machinery. The ideal candidate is a team player willing to operate various equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Run and operate heavy equipment such as scrapers, excavators, dozers, compactors, and front end loaders.

+ Dig trenches using mainline excavators for the installation of underground utilities including storm water, sewer, and sanitary systems.

+ Utilize Komatsu 360 and CAT 320 excavators.

+ Set trench boxes inside trenches to prevent shoring.

+ Backfill after sections of pipe installation are completed.

+ Ensure safety standards are maintained during operations.

Essential Skills

+ 3-4 years minimum operating experience.

+ Proficiency in running full size excavators, dozers, scrapers, loaders, and compactors.

+ Familiarity with trenching and utility construction.

+ Understanding of equipment operation including GPS and track hoe usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with loading and unloading trucks.

+ Knowledge of water main and sewer system installation.

Work Environment

Work exclusively on commercial utility projects with a schedule of Monday through Saturday totaling 55 hours per week from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with half days on Saturday. The position involves exposure to outdoor temperatures, although most equipment is equipped with air conditioning.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
