Job Title: MIG Welder
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift available
Pay: $18/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team, responsible for fitting and welding steel tray racks for grocery stores using 18-gauge to 14-gauge steel. The ideal candidate will utilize a thumb switch and silicon bronze filler rod to perform tasks, with proficiency in blueprint reading being preferred.
Responsibilities
+ Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
+ MIG weld steel components according to specifications outlined in blueprints and/or drawings.
+ Ensure work is completed safely and meets quality standards.
+ Follow Welding Procedure Specifications diligently.
+ Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators as needed.
+ Assemble items as instructed by the floor supervisor.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and ensure proper care of equipment and facilities.
+ Adhere to all company rules and policies.
+ Provide focused attention to detail on tasks.
+ Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
+ Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
+ Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment manually, up to 60 pounds.
+ Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities listed above.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in MIG welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with steel welding and fabrication.
+ One-year related experience and/or training in welding.
+ Experience with aluminum and/or stainless steel welding.
+ Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently.
+ Ability to produce quality products consistently.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Certification from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
+ Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding required.
+ Strong reliability and work ethic.

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial, non-climate-controlled manufacturing plant. Work hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, requiring the ability to lift and maneuver heavy items consistently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
