Job Title: Lead Gluer Operator
Job Description
The Lead Gluer Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation, efficiency, and quality of the gluer machine. This role involves leading the crew, estimating production speeds, managing belt inventory, and maintaining gluing equipment, including glue guns. The operator will optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee gluer machine operation ensuring efficiency and quality.
+ Lead and manage the crew, providing guidance and direction.
+ Estimate production speeds and manage belt inventory.
+ Maintain gluing equipment and glue guns to ensure proper function.
+ Optimize production processes for maximum efficiency.
+ Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
+ Set up the machine and ensure smooth operation.
+ Train and mentor other gluer operators on the team.
+ Work with auto bottoms and 6-fold corrugated boxes on gluing machines.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of experience in gluer operation or similar field.
+ Proficiency in using systems on Bobst gluing machines or similar systems.
+ Ability to perform setups and changeovers efficiently.
+ Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing machine operations.
+ Knowledge of corrugated box gluing processes.
+ Experience with glue detection systems.
+ Machine operation expertise, including changeover and production.
Work Environment
The role is based in a large, cleaned facility requiring hair nets and beard nets. The facility is non-climate controlled but equipped with industrial fans and misters to maintain comfort.

This is a Permanent position based out of High Point, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44160.00 - $62400.00/yr.
