Amentum is seeking a Janitorial Lead to oversee our 2nd shift cleaning team. In this role, you will ensure that all areas of the facility are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to a high standard, while also managing and supporting your team. This position requires someone who can take charge, work independently, and effectively resolve any issues that may arise during the shift. The lead janitor will be assigned a designated area and will be responsible for the upkeep of an assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and support the 2nd shift Team: Provide direction and support to the cleaning team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.

+ Ensure Facility Cleanliness: Oversee and participate in cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and general upkeep of the facility.

+ Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure that cleanliness and safety standards are met, and promptly address any concerns.

+ Problem Solving: Handle any minor maintenance issues that may come up during the shift and ensure that equipment is operating properly.

+ Team Training and Development: Train new team members and provide ongoing support to ensure a high level of performance across the team.

+ Communicate Effectively: Provide end-of-shift reports and communicate any issues or updates to management to keep them informed of operations during the 2nd shift.

+ Uphold Safety Standards: Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols, following company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

+ Must have a HS Diploma or GED i3+ years of experience in janitorial or industrial cleaning, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.

+ Proven ability to lead a team and work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

+ Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and basic troubleshooting for maintenance issues.

+ Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure all work is completed.

+ Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
