    Your Role

    The Area Air Logistics Operational Care Manager is responsible to deliver operational excellence while continuously optimizing the cost of production. The development of Air freight export/import operations, enhancing operational capabilities and delivering increased profitability are a critical function of the role. Managing the Operational Care Centre between cost-efficiency and high-quality processing is critical. Responsibility is also given for business development in regards to carrier/supplier procurement and management. The OCC manager is also responsible to ensure that operations are managed within the respective regulatory requirements associated with the functions of their teams and in alignment with industry and national regimes.

    Your Responsibilities

    + To act as Head of operational care center

    + To provide leadership and direction to the operational care organization

    + To ensure operational excellence through high-quality shipment/process management

    + To support the development of pricing strategies (liaise on pricing / RFQ preparation)

    + To ensure close cooperation with National Air freight Managers of the Customer Care teams and Systems & Processes teams for optimized operations

    + To actively manage interfaces and information / knowledge exchange between KN teams

    + To contribute as process owner to continuous improvements of processes and controls for lean and cost-efficient processes

    + To optimize proceedings to ensure development of Air freight operational KPIs

    + To ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization

    + To support Air freight procurement and carrier relationship management

    + To ensure a high level quality of export/import services

    + To closely cooperate with Sales on strategic accounts as needed

    + To closely cooperate with Customer Service to gain specialized customer specific knowledge and to receive first-hand feedback about operational execution

    + To support to develop new / existing customer targets

    Your Skills and Experiences

    + Bachelors / First University Degree: Supply Chain Management

    + Other Degree / Diploma: Freight Forwarding

    + Leadership Experience: direct + virtual 2-5 years

    + BU / FU: Air Logistics 2-5 years

    + Freight Forwarding: 2-5 years

    + High knowledge of freight forwarding, operations and import-export regulations

    + Knowledge of KN products, services and processes

    + Good knowledge of the market and Carrier relationships

    + KN systems and Microsoft Office portfolio

    + The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, a high degree of communication skills, commercial acumen, and must be performance driven.

    + Candidates must have a demonstrable change management mindset, time management skills, and a willingness to improve.

    + Critical to the role is a high level of attention to details, managerial skills in organizing, planning, assigning and controlling, as well a decision making skills.

    + Candidates must be flexible and demonstrate an ability to work under pressure.

    + Local language: Fluent

    + English: Advanced
