Pool Supervisor The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary: Assists the Pool Manager in maintaining a safe and healthy aquatic environment for all hotel guests. Responsible for the operations of the pool facilities and the food & beverage outlet located in the pool areas. Responsible for training and managing all pool and fitness staff, as well as the beverage team located at the pool. Assumes the duties of the Pool Manager as necessary.
Essential Functions:
• Ensures a safe and healthy aquatic environment for all hotel guests.
• Responsible for developing, training and disciplining of all pool/fitness employees as well as the food & beverage staff at the pool.
• Ensure the policies and procedures for the pool and fitness departments are appropriately followed
• Assist with all pool/fitness staff scheduling, ensuring proper coverage and labor costs are within budget.
• Ordering all necessary supplies, equipment, and product for pools and fitness room.
• Overseeing cabana/daybed purchases online and walk-ins
• Handling elevated guest complaints, problem payments and food & beverage service issues at the pool outlets.
• Running various reports, including server closing shift reports, help calculate auto-gratuities and send to finance
• Responsible for the accounting of beverage products at month end inventory.
• Monitors the status of all food & beverage orders at the pool to ensure orders are being delivered in a timely basis.
• Ensures all food is served and prepared within health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Performs walk-through of the facilities to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.
• Ensure staff is providing outstanding guest service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Previous experience in a pool environment preferred.
• Previous pool operations management experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge managing staff, pool operations, budgeting, training, scheduling, and pool safety.
• Ability to type routine reports and correspondence emails.
• Efficient using computers, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Knowledge of “point of sale” systems and InfoGenesis preferred.
• Previous experience working with union contracts preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills
• Present a professional appearance
• Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements
• Continuously walking and/or standing and stooping, and working outdoors (more than 75% of the time)
• Occasionally sitting at a desk or table
• Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, kneeling, climbing and using chemical agents (up to approx. 25% of the time)
• Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
• Hearing, vision (including peripheral), speech and literacy (critical)
• Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions
