Overview
What You’ll Do
The Logistics Support Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of supply and material control services which include submitting requests, tracking, and receiving material, supplies and equipment in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The supply team shall prepare records and reports of consumption of material and miscellaneous consumables and perform warehouse quality control. Prepares cargo (to include mail cargo) for designated airlift and sealift transportation to and from AAAF and shall provide cargo unloading and delivery services in support of Ascension Auxillary Airfield (AAAF).
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
+ Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity. All percentages should equal 100%.
+ Responsible for the performance and daily management, execution, and personnel supervision of supply operations.
+ Shall develop work procedures and work scheduling to ensure efficient use of resources and required coverage to meet PWS requirements.
+ Shall ensure V2X and USG purchasing procedures are implemented in accordance with the performance work statement.
+ Performs and trains personnel according to standard operating procedures and participates in all related process action/process improvement actions.
+ Provides PSFB Contractor Cargo Services for items (not requisitioned through the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS)), to include, pick up and transport of cargo from PSFB U.S. Post Office (USPO) to the Contractor designated holding area, receive package deliveries from UPS, DHL, FEDEX, etc. prepare cargo bags for consolidation on shipping skids, prepare shipping skids and deliver them to PSFB air terminal.
+ Shall maintain and optimize inventory control procedures, examine material supply to determine shortages and minimum quantities, document daily deliveries, analyze different suppliers to determine preferred or non-preferred vendors, and update physical warehouse space to match all inventory management software data.
+ Shall provide reports and documents pertaining to warehouse/supply operations in accordance with the performance work statement such as requests for shipping documentation, warehouse stock levels, supply metrics, warehouse layout status and inventory management system data.
+ Ensure all materials received are correct as ordered from the vendor and notify the USG immediately of any discrepancies and filing all claims.
+ Responsible for following a comprehensive safety program in compliance with V2X, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
+ Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
+ Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
+ Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
+ Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained may be substituted for education, if degree is required.
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to Logistics service requirements, as well as experience related to cargo transportation and supply.
+ Prefer knowledge of US AF material control requirements.
+ Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport and Driver’s License (able to drive a manual transmission).
+ Forklift certification(s) dated within the past 12 months.
+ Must be a US citizenship to obtain required secret clearance.
Experience:
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience with managing inventory control procedures.
+ Experience in a military contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
Skills and Technology Used:
+ Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
+ Team oriented; possess excellent organizational, time management skills.
+ Must be computer and software literate, experienced in Microsoft applications.
+ Excellent interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.
+ Familiar with U.S. military branches of service.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
+ Ability to conduct thorough investigations and analyze data to identify root causes.
+ Leadership qualities to promote a positive safety culture and influence behavior.
