Support dynamic airspace and operational planning by serving as the key liaison between flight operations, exercise planners, and external coordination bodies. As the Airspace Scheduler and Plans & Exercise Coordinator, you will enable efficient mission planning and execution through expert scheduling, deconfliction, and coordination of military airspace and exercise activities.
Responsibilities:
+ Compile and brief daily scheduling requirement summaries for unit leadership (CC/DO or designated representatives).
+ Complete required documentation such as the 0-71 Initial Airspace Request and NTTR Weekly CSE Airspace Build.
+ Update daily scheduling data based on changing conditions, mission objectives, and training progression.
+ Coordinate with OSS Plans & Exercises (OSOP), OSS Airspace (OSOA), outside agencies, and higher headquarters for large-scale exercise participation (e.g., RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, Weapons School).
+ Represent the 432 WG in periodic special-use airspace meetings such as NTTR PENCILS, Range War, and Integration scheduling sessions, primarily held at Nellis AFB.
+ Monitor and enforce compliance with airspace policies and provide real-time schedule updates.
+ Serve as the 432 WG liaison for FAA Certificates of Agreement (COAs) and generate monthly COA reports for submission to the FAA.
+ Submit updates to OSS Scheduling and maintain the daily Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and Top 3 schedules.
+ Accept or reclama tasked exercises from ACC via CAFSIPT on SIPR and assist in the 432 WG Exercise Approval Process.
+ Track unit participation in exercises and provide regular status updates to squadron leadership.
+ Notify units of upcoming exercises, associated requirements, and scheduling logistics.
+ Update and maintain briefing slides, meeting schedules, records of minutes, and support Exercise Project Officers in planning.
+ Validate airspace availability and finalize scheduling of MOAs and other required areas no later than 30 days prior to execution.
+ Coordinate requirements such as GCS access, boresight alignment, load-outs, and other mission dependencies.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and scheduling tools such as PEX.
+ Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills for inter-agency collaboration.
+ Skilled in reviewing flow plans, airspace policy compliance, and contingency management.
+ Ability to operate in high-ops tempo environments and manage sensitive data.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum seven (7) years of experience in or with military operations.
+ Two (2) years of experience using PEX or five (5) years with Microsoft Excel/Access database tools (programming proficiency highly desired).
+ Completion of PEX Initial User Training or ISR Scheduling Training.
+ Completion of GTIMS (primary) or CTOMS (secondary) Initial User Training within one year of hire.
+ 25% of scheduling team must have one year as NCOIC of scheduling and:
+ Two (2) years of experience as an RPA Squadron Flight Scheduler, or
+ Five (5) years of experience as a DoD Flying Squadron Flight Scheduler.
Security Clearance Requirements:
+ Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
+ Must be eligible for SAP access, NATO, and ACCM protocols.
