    SUMMARY

    The Payroll Accountant Manager is responsible processing and reconciling the organizations post-payroll functions including but not limited general ledger details, PTO accruals, and state & federal tax audits.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Maintain payroll-related accounts (daily deposits of cash, checks, and pay cards)

    + Save report data on bi-monthly payroll details

    + Identify ledger account discrepancies and report findings to the Directors of Finance

    + Conduct payroll audits as needed

    + Report payroll related-issues to the Director of Payroll

    + Generate general ledger details for the accounting departments to upload and reconcile

    + Maintain the PTO accrual for each location monthly

    + Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors

    + Audit Quarterly tax filings between Workday and ADP

    + Continuous review of refunds from ADP

    + Manage escheatment process with the states; audit un-cleared paychecks for the properties

    + Audit of garnishment accounts for each location

    + Assist property Finance Departments with answering questions and payroll support

    + Create and update SOP’s and guides for payroll processing

    + Coordinate between planning and analytics

    + Assist in providing data for leaders to execute budget forecasting

    + Manage variable pay data input for all locations and coordinate with payroll for accurate bi-weekly processing

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required

    + Minimum of 2- 4 years of experience in accounting/payroll

    + Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes

    + Solid knowledge of billing, budgets, deposits and taxes

    + Mastery over numbers and being quick with numerical calculations

    + Have a high level of integrity and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills required

    + Proficient with ADP and Workday a plus

    + Strong communication skills required within the team.

    + Preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Most work tasks are performed indoors. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

     

    The pay range for the Payroll Accountant Manager - CORP is from $90,000.00 to 110,000.00 . The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
