    Job Description

    Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a results-driven Senior Business Analyst with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

     

    The purpose of this role is to serve as the liaison between business and IT teams to deliver critical business or complex technical solutions. This includes translating business requirements into functional specifications, supporting issue resolution, driving testing and implementation processes, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. The Business Analyst plays a key role in improving business performance by analyzing requirements, troubleshooting, and collaborating across various departments and stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Understand business processes and the interdependencies of systems in use.

    + Facilitate interactive discussions with business and technology teams to define and align requirements.

    + Gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.

    + Manage change control and traceability processes for requirements.

    + Collaborate with architects to align requirements with system capabilities.

    + Analyze complex system and system-related problems; recommend improvements or new designs.

    + Identify potential solutions and assess associated risks and issues.

    + Create and implement comprehensive test plans, including schedule, approach, test cases, and production checkouts.

    + Ensure the testing environment has sufficient data to support test plans.

    + Adhere to quality standards, compile/publish project artifacts, and follow the Ameriprise Project Management Methodology using CMMi methods.

    + Update and create user/technical documentation, operational support materials, and archive project documentation.

    + Communicate risks, issues, and potential solutions while providing regular status updates to project managers or senior leadership.

    Qualifications

    + Solid understanding of business processes and systems (or the ability to learn quickly).

    + Strong leadership and communication skills; able to interact across all organizational levels and external partners.

    + Proven ability to influence decisions at various levels within an organization.

    + Detail-oriented with strong translation skills between business and technical teams.

    + Proficient in tools like Visio, Provision, DOORS, HP Quality Center, etc.

    + Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

    + Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis and modeling.

    + BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    Hourly rate between $20 - $125 per hour
