    Tiered Model Overview

     

    ProMedica is implementing a new tiered-model structure for full-time, part-time, and per-diem nurses. The new resource pool model provides ProMedica’s nurses more flexible work options, encourages staff development, enhances patient care, and addresses unfulfilled staffing needs within the hospitals.

     

    Depending on the Tier, the Registered Nurse is expected to float within one or all of the hospitals included in the Resource Pool. They will provide nursing care to individuals and groups which requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies.

    Our Internal Resource Pool consists of the following locations:

    The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH

    Flower Hospital in Sylvania, OH

    Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, OH

    Fostoria Community Hospital in Fostoria, OH

    Fremont Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH

    Monroe Regional Hospital in Monroe, MI

    Education: The RN in Ohio must complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period. At least 1 hour of contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules.

     

    Years of Experience: 1 year as an Acute Care RN

     

    License: Current State license as a Registered Nurse.

     

    Certification: Current CPR training. Specialty certifications as required.
