    Job Description:

    Job Summary

    Builds & maintains large scale machine learning and big data production pipelines to support advanced analytics, data science, and AI/ML solutions. Identifies valuable internal and external data. Collaborates closely with data scientists to define data for the design, development, and deployment of new solutions that support business priorities.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Helps shape the direction of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. Develops software that processes, stores and serves data and machine learning models for use by others. Applies methods to design, test and scale effective, reliable frameworks, systems and models to improve the usefulness of big data and predictive applications.

    + Develops large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and intelligence to support business needs.

    + May write complez ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) or ELT processes, designs data stores and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing on premise or on cloud infrastructure.

    + Develops and maintains optimal data pipelines into the ML and advanced analytics platform, including design of data flows, procedures, and schedules. Ensures that optimal data pipelines are scalable, repeatable and secure.

    + Designs, develops, and adjusts algorithms and tools to solve highly complex data challenges and improve quality and reliability of data.

    + Participates in setting requirements for, and develops, machine learning applications. Designs, codes, tests, deploys and iterates on large-scale, highly complex machine learning systems. Participates in developing technical / business approaches and new or enhanced technical tools.

    + Remains current on, and recommends, new machine learning and optimization techniques.

    + Demonstrates proficiency in all areas of the professional function and advanced in-depth specialization in some.

    + Receives work in the form of short- and mid-term outcomes that regularly require the application of independent judgment and creativity.

    + Interacts with internal and external peers and management to share highly complex information related to areas of expertise and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology / business solutions.

    + May lead teams / projects. Mentors less experienced members of the team.

    External Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field and at least 8 years of experience working with SQL

    + Significant experience programming in at least one of the following: Python, C, C++, Spark, Scala, and/or Java

    + Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

    + Experience deploying machine learning models with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

    + Experience presenting to all levels of an organization,

    + Experience with vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review.

    + At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

    + At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + PhD preferred.
