Banquet Cook

Salary: $18 - $25 per hour based on experience.

Position Summary:

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food for banquet events, following established recipes and presentation standards. This role ensures that food is prepared efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality and hospitality standards for large-scale events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with banquet event orders (BEOs).

Ensure food is prepared and presented according to standardized recipes and specifications.

Set up banquet kitchen stations and maintain cleanliness and organization.

Collaborate with chefs and other cooks to coordinate meal preparation and service.

Monitor food quality, portion control, and food safety standards.

Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleanup of banquet food preparation areas.

Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Maintain inventory and notify supervisors of low stock or equipment issues.

Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced kitchen and banquet environment.

Position Requirements

Requirements

+ 1-3 years previous experience on a similar position preferre, but willing to train

+ Professional communication skills are required

+ Ability to take direction

+ Ability to work in a team environment

+ Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

+ Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized

+ Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge

+ Must be available weekends and holidays
