    Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm/8am - 4:30pm

     

    $5,000 Sign On Bonus

    Position Summary:

    Exercises professional judgment in the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography, and bone density exams. Provides patient care essential to the exam. Applies principles of radiation protection and evaluates radiographs produced for technical quality. Takes direction from the Lead Mammography Technologist.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    1. Performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams, interventional breast procedures, and bone density studies.

    2. Proficient operation of mammographic and bone density equipment.

    3. Participates in mammography QC tasks and other aspects of quality improvement.

    4. Assists with data collection and patient follow-up.

    5. Maintains a safe working environment according to radiation safety and infection control standards.

    6. Interviews the patient and documents thorough clinical history.

    7. Participates in patient education and maintains confidentiality.

    8. Assist in training of new personnel when necessary.

    _Required:_

    + HighSchool Diploma or GED

    + Satisfactorycompletion of a Radiology program

    + Registeredwith the A.R.R.T (R)

    + Advancedregistry in Mammography (M)

    + BLScard from AHA required before start date (valid at least 60 days beyond startdate)

    + Oneyear of prior work experience in Mammography

    + Registeredin Bone Densitometry with the A.R.R.T (BD)

    + Threeyears prior work experience in mammography
