The Manager, Finance is primarily responsible for preparing and/or reviewing financial analysis used to monitor the Company’s performance and operational and financial metrics across the portfolio. The role will support multiple functions, primarily the Finance and Accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
+ Creates, provides, analyzes and/or reviews monthly, quarterly and annual operational metrics.
+ Prepares supporting documents for the company's supplemental, SEC filings, slide decks and executive management.
+ Proactively identifies and leads initiatives for process improvements, particularly around internal reporting by collaborating with the Data team and IT to pursue automation solutions.
+ Reviews, mentors and provides leadership to other members on the team.
+ Supports various departments and other team members by performing ad hoc analysis as requested.
+ Reviews corporate level debt and credit rating metrics on a quarterly basis.
+ Supports various departments and other team members by performing ad hoc analysis as requested.
+ Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
+ Actively supports and participates in the safety program and both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (I2P2)
+ Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
+ Handles various other duties as delegated by direct/supervisor/management.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field
+ Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience in related field
+ Real Estate industry/REIT experience preferred
+ Basic understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements
+ Basic understanding of SOX compliance
+ Knowledge of MS Office, Yardi Voyager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, preferred
+ Microsoft Excel skills required, specifically Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions
+ CPA preferred but not required
+ Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, change management, analysis and organizing skills
+ Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions
+ Strong leadership, employee development, appraisal, relationship management, problem-solving and presentation skills
In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $112,596 - $140,748. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts and/or health savings accounts; dependent savings accounts; 401(k) with company matching contributions; employee stock purchase plan; and a tuition reimbursement program. The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year, and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
