Job Summary
Huntsman Cancer Institute is dedicated to training the next generation of cancer researchers. We seek a talented and motivated Project Coordinator to assist with three Institutional training grants: 1) a National Cancer Institute-funded T32 Training Program in cancer biology for PhDseeking graduate students, 2) an American Cancer Society-funded post-baccalaureate training program for recent college graduates interested in pursuing careers in biomedical research and 3) an American Cancer Society-funded Institutional Research Grant that provided pilot project funding for early stage faculty members.

Responsibilities
1. Soliciting and tracking applications for the different training programs.
2. Organizing review panels to evaluate applications.
3. Communication with program awardees.
4. Help awardees engage with the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
5. Organize program activities, e.g. career development activities/program retreats, for the different training programs.
6. Track trainee/participant outcomes, program evaluation surveys
7. Other duties as assigned.
**Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required:** Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
**Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required:** Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience. (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience.)

Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, STEM or education-related field.
