**UW Medical Center-Montlake - Maintenance** has an outstanding opportunity to hire a **DRAFTING TECHNICIAN 2** .
WORK SCHEDULE
+ 40 hours per week, Day Shift
+ Variable days, onsite **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
+ Prepare moderately complex scaled maps, detailed plans and working drawings from sketches, field notes, or general instructions
+ Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Prepare drawings to meet government and industrial contract requirements
+ May act as lead over drafting technicians
+ Prepare design detail and assembly drawings for use in construction of various equipment and buildings
+ Prepare graphs, charts, and drafting displays for publication and engineering journals
+ Draw schematics, wiring, or block diagrams from sketches, parts, and instructions
+ Solve geometric design problems and produce working engineering drawings in the solution of various design problems; make design calculations
+ Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering and building record drawing systems
+ Research technical information from record vault files, engineering catalogues, and technical handbooks
+ Review hard copy drawing files for compliance with Facility Design Information (FDI) requirements
+ Order and receive print room supplies and track supply needs **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
