    Summary

    We are currently seeking a Portable Grinder to work 1st shift at our plant located in Cudahy, WI. 1st shift is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.

    Essential Functions

    + Receives carbon, alloy and high-density steel stock requiring grinding. Checks metal surfaces for defects as directed

    + Operates portable grinder, positioning wheel against metal surfaces to remove excess metal, fins, burrs, seams, defects, etc.

    + Exercises care and judgment to avoid damaging contour of stock

    + Changes grinding wheel for efficient operation. Uses hand tools as needed

    + Places processed stock in proper container for further routing

    + Maintains identity, i.e.: serial, heat codes, etc.
