    Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This organization provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being directly involved with product business decisions. This open position is a Senior Accountant on the Engine Systems Products team within LPSD. The role provides all financial support for the Aftertreatment product line and is the primary business partner and trusted advisor for the Aftertreatment product and operations teams. This product is experiencing significant growth and is part of the Large Engine Capacity program.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Financial analysis and planning (FP&A)

    + Product cost analysis

    + Annual Normals process and rate setting

    + Coordinate financial reporting for products produced in Mexico

    + Partner with the Operations and Product teams to support key projects

    + Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes

    What You Will Have:

    + **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

    + **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

    + **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

    + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

    + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    + **Managing Multiple Priorities:** Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

    + **Accounting:** Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

    + **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

    + **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

    **Additional Info** :

    + This position can be located in our Mossville, IL or Pontiac, IL office

    + This role is a full time position and currently requires 5 days a week in office

    Summary Pay Range:

    $126,000.00 - $189,000.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
