About the Position
This position has two primary functions:
1. Development and distribution of the West Winds and support of Gazette and other communication materials, when and as needed.
2. Recruitment, processing, onboarding, and placement of volunteers in collaboration with the Herralink Program Manager.
3. This position also provides technical support during GL campus activities/training/programs/meetings, etc.
Job Duties
+ Independently designs, produces, and coordinates the distribution of all communication materials for internal use throughout communities.
+ Support volunteer recruitment and onboarding. Interview and process prospective volunteers, to include conducting and processing background checks.
+ Assist in orienting new volunteers Review all policies yearly with all volunteers.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in communication, media design, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
+ Excellent proofreading and editorial skills required.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
+ High proficiency with MS Office and office machines/technology required.
+ InDesign software, experience highly preferred.
