Chenega Analytic Business Solutions (CABS) provides federal agencies and commercial customers with trusted insights into Records and Information Management, Administrative Solutions, Information Technology, Engineering, and Training. Formed in 2017 to serve federal and commercial customers, CABS is 8(a) certified and has grown quickly into a leader in the federal IT and Training environment.

The **3D Print Technician** shall provide design services, supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB).

Responsibilities

+ Develop, design, create drawings, and/or specifications for engineering projects, facilities, structures, systems, and equipment.

+ Prepare models of parts, assemblies, and drawings using CAD.

+ Provide translation or creation of modeled parts for 3D printing.

+ Design an idea or rough sketch of a desired concept into practical items of equipment that can be economically manufactured as required.

+ Provide information on the required parts, which includes material composition, dimensions, and safety characteristics..

+ Produce workable designs from rough sketches or verbal descriptions that include, but are not limited to, the design of mechanical components.

+ Ensure that all tasks are designed for ease of maintenance, assembly, and reliability.

+ Assure that designs and related engineering information shall be developed using the appropriate CAD/CAE software or Microsoft Office Platform.

+ Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.

+ Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.

+ Approximately 75% design and 25% 3D printing.

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ An associate degree in Mechanical Design or Drafting

+ 5+ years of technical experience or training and experience with 3D printing machines.

+ Must be a U.S. citizen.

+ Ability to obtain Public Trust/NACI clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

+ Proficient with AutoCAD or willing to learn.

+ Prefer familiarity with Stratasys Fortus machines and FormLabs SLA machines.

+ Working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to comply with applicable codes and standards of the contract.

+ Ability to pass customer security requirements is required.

+ Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as required.

+ Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.

+ Ability to interact verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management on a professional level.

+ Possess strong problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work nights and weekends on rare occasions.

+ Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
