On-site M-F, Paramus NJ

+ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

+ 1 late shift 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Job Summary:

As an Administrative Billing Specialist, you will work with our team to provide administrative, clerical, and billing support to management, departments, staff, and clients. You will have the benefit of working face-to-face with our clients and linking them to services to help them in their journey. Additionally, you will gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in your work with our various departments, prescribers, mental health and substance use providers.

What You Will Do:

+ Contact clients regarding outstanding balances

+ Establish payment plans to help clients manage payment of bills

+ Send delinquent accounts to collection agencies

+ Process insurance payments to client accounts in computerized system

+ Create and mail insurance claims and client statements

+ Re-bill insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for clients

+ Verify all entries made by Front Desk staff and makes corrections, if necessary

+ Train appropriate staff on computerized billing system

+ Respond to client billing and statements inquiries

+ Make recommendations to management for write-offs

What We Need to See:

+ High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)

+ Minimum three (3) years of related experience and/or training in Billing and Coding; or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
