    *NEW BUSINESS OFFICER*

     

    WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

     

    This position is responsible for business and Client On-Boarding. Partners with Business Development to ensure the new account onboarding process flows smoothly resulting in issue free files. Provides a smooth file handoff with Trust Administration and provides ongoing relationship management with advisor and maintain exemplary service levels. Ensure new files are set up on the system correctly

     

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

     

    * Assist Business Development Team as needed in sales process

    * Work with Business Development Team, COI's and Clients to gather necessary paperwork to onboard file

    * Organize and present each opportunity to New Business Committee

    * Assist in the determination of the businesses appropriateness for RBCT

    * Partner with Trust Administration to ensure each new opportunity can be administered without issue

    * Help set expectations around timing and progress of files

    * Ensure fee arrangement is appropriate for the relationship and approved by Head, RBC Trust Delaware when required

    * Ensure investments are appropriate for accounts and RBCT, this includes discussion with investment professionals regarding account allocations and investment types

    * Ensures all Policies & Procedures are followed in a timely manner

    * Assist with the develop of New Business Procedures and Policies as needed

    * Preform all First Line of Defense Compliance reviews and determine if further elevation to Group Compliance is needed

    * Manage risk to ensure all relationships are within RBC's risk appetite

    * Actively contribute to projects as necessary

    * Provide guidance and mentor other team members

    * Understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals

     

    WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

     

    *Required Qualifications**

    * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

    * 5+ years financial industry experience

    * 2 years of experience working for a fiduciary

    * Recognized professional qualification (e.g., CFTA, TEP)

    *Additional Qualifications*

    * Trust business experience and knowledge

    * Investment knowledge and experience

    * Compliance and AML knowledge and experience

    * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships and effectively interact with all levels of staff and personnel

    * Works well under pressure and meet deadlines

    * Strong communication skills

    * Organized with strong attention to detail

    * Anticipate needs and proactively seek solutions

    * Able to work with different personality types

    * Willingness to seek out advice from Senior staff promptly as appropriate

    *Compensation*Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
