REMOTE: This position can work remotely from out-of-state within the continental United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
+ Design and maintain optimal data architectural solutions
+ Address complex data challenges to enhance business insight delivery
+ Develop advanced data products to aid analytics initiatives
+ Mentor and lead in data standards, practices, and governance
+ Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and efficient data solutions
+ Guide the integration of new analytical tools and processes
+ Implement strategic communication plans for data capabilities
+ Collaborate on technical architectures for major enterprise projects
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
+ 5-7 years’ experience in relevant data engineering/architecture roles
+ Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and programming (Python/Scala)
+ Experience with Azure ecosystem, preferable
+ Knowledge of Linux OS
+ Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts

**Minimum Level of Education Required:** Bachelor's degree
**Type of degree** : Bachelors required
**Area of study or major** : Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or engineering preferred
**Preferred educational qualifications** : Engineering and Computer Science
Experience
**Minimum Level of Experience Required:** 5 - 7 years of job related experience
**Prior job title or occupational experience:** Data, IT, and Platform Experience
**Prior specific functional responsibilities:** 5 years’ experience working in data engineering or architectural roles &+ years preferred. .
**Preferred** **experience:** Expertise in SQL and data analysis and experience with at least one programming language (Python or Scala preferred); Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses in big data solutions; Experience with developing solutions on Azure using its core services ADF, ADLS, Blob, and Synapse (preferred); Database development experience using Hadoop or BigQueryand experience with a variety of relational, NoSQL, and cloud database technologies; Worked with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Shiny Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data;. Big Data Development experience using Spark, Databricks, Impala, and familiarity with Kafka (Preferred); Familiarity with the Linux operating system (Preferred); Exposure to machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics
