The job consists of supporting the operation of a single phase or 3-phase electric arc furnace with the current operating instructions for producing AZ/NV crude abrasive product.--

+ The floor operator will be responsible for getting the product through the transfer systems.- This includes at times shoveling product into totes or shoveling the product into the elevator systems.--

+ Material handling, weighing, bagging. This includes the proper disposition of all associated materials. It will require using various handling equipment such as; forklifts, bucket loaders (Bobcat), mobilized hammering device (Dingo),- Forklift and overhead crane certified.

+ Batch preparation, operation of weighing and transfer equipment. The floor operator must understand and demonstrate proficiency using all process equipment associated with the feed system.

+ Support Operator in furnace operations including (setups, start up; feeding, pour, etc.). This is a multi-step process that requires use of electrode hoist, furnace controls, feed system controls, Quench Tunnel elevator system operation, rotary screeners, use of jack hammer and sledge hammer.

+ Product handling and sampling including product identification. Floor Operator must fully understand and demonstrate knowledge of feed and scale system, method of collecting samples, proper identification and labeling of product (Q1, Date, Weight, Shift, Initial), by product type (cyclone fines, Q1, Q5, NV, etc.), and refuse.

+ The Floor Operator has overall responsibility for accuracy and recording of all weights and measures associated with furnace operations.- Area housekeeping and cleanup. The Floor Operator must complete a thorough clean-up of assigned area each shift.- Floor Operator must be able and willing to carry out written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ Computer skills for production data entry, required

+ Manufacturing experience of three to five years with transfer systems, process systems, as well as demonstrated ability to operate mobile equipment safety.

+ Flexible work hours will be necessary (this is a 24/7 rotating position)
