Develop and implement strategic initiatives across Capital Adequacy while working with leadership and key stakeholders within Finance, Treasury and Risk Management. Provides thought leadership in tandem with analysis and presentation development to inform and execute strategic goals.
Working as part of a small, fast-paced and highly collaborative team, the Capital Adequacy-Strategic Initiatives Associate will analyze, execute on, and deliver high impact projects that are key to the future direction of Truist's Captial Adequacy and Stress Testing efforts. This role will partner across the organization on a high-profile project designed to create lasting change in our Capital Planning and Stress Testing routines.
This position will sit on-site in office, 4 days a week, and 1 remote. No telecommute option available. No relocation available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement strategic initiatives, conduct analysis, offer problem solving recommendations for key business processes across Capital Planning and Stress testing
2. Create materials and presentations to accurately articulate Capital Planning and Stress Testing strategy for broader consumption and execution, including presentations that may be shared with Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors
3. Mitigate emerging risks by executing on broader business plans
4. Drive execution of project management tasks related to new and ongoing initiatives
5. Execute on ad hoc strategy requests on behalf of Finance, Treasury and Capital Adequacy leadership
6. Focus business optimization and efficiency improvement efforts, as well as manage centralization of certain strategic business processes
7. Manage and coordinate engagements with risk partners in the First, Second, and Third lines of defense
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. 3-5 years of work experience with previous positions requiring analytical and presentation skills.
3. Excellent technical skills in Microsoft Office systems, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Ability to think independently, interpret financial and non-financial data, collaborate effectively, balance competing priorities and prioritize as appropriate
6. Strong financial and analytical skills, verbal communication skills and ability to understand and communicate complex concepts in a concise and useful manner
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years related experience in either a consulting, project management, process improvement, or financial services related role.
2. Experience in development, articulation and execution of moderately complex strategic initiatives across multiple parts of an organization
3. Prior experience in or related to Finance, Consulting, Audit, or Risk Management
