    About Us:

    SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 200 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 250,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.

    Salary Range: $70,000-$105,000

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Identify and research potential customers and their needs.

    + Take notes detailing customers’ needs and feedback regarding SWD services.

    + Make frequent phone calls to customers.

    + Travel as required to and from customer organizations, tradeshows, and other events with the sales team.

    + Maintain knowledge of company capabilities and specifications and be capable of demonstrating this knowledge.

    + Maintain a strong relationship with existing customers to foster continuous communication.

    + Communicate frequently with the internal sales team.

    + Create pamphlets for customers that showcase the capabilities of the organization.

    + Maintain a strong sense of customer service in and away from the office.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field

    + Proven experience in office management, administrative leadership, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

    + Strong communication and listening skills.

    + Excellent sales and negotiating ability.

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Capable of building rapport with established and potential customers.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.

    + Capable of using technology, such as a computer, tablet, and phone.

    + Ability to work independently and with a team.

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP software.
