    The Coordinator, Outpatient Rehab reports to the Manager of Rehab Services and works with PT/OT/SLP therapists, supervisors, and clinical and support staff at Riverview Medical Center and Holmdel Rehabilitation, in the execution and coordinating of scheduling, registration, and billing functions, information management in computer applications, and filing. In addition, the incumbent acts as a lead by overseeing the department and/or patients in verifying insurance data, obtaining insurance authorizations and pre-certification, interpreting financial/insurance data and in the completion of appropriate forms and associated computer or paperwork with this function.

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    + High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs and 4 years of relevant experience.

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical/hospital office setting.

    + Experience with word processing, data entry, and medical terminology.

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

    + Bachelor's degree.

    + Knowledge and experience in Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Plans, EPIC.
