    The Sup, Path Asst/Autopsy Services supervises the operations/systems for the performance of anatomic Pathology procedures to ensure the timely processing and reporting of anatomic specimens, including supervision of the Pathologist Assistants and Autopsy Services. Develops, implements, and maintains all departmental policies and workflows under the guidance of administrative leadership and the Director of Anatomic Pathology.

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    + Formal PA training/degree or equivalent.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience as a hospital-based Pathology Assistant and experience in tissue banking/procurement demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

    + Masters of Science in Pathologists¿ Assistant.

    Working Conditions:

    + Lifts a minimum of 30lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 70lbs and stands a minimum of 5 hours a day. Wil

    + l rotate weekends, holidays, days, evenings, and nights as required.

    + May have exposure to diseased organs, tissue, noxious odors from diseased bodies and penetrating odors of preservative chemicals.
