Provides a comprehensive religious ministry program of visits, counseling and spiritual guidance to the patients, families and staff. Oversight of Bioethics, pastoral volunteers, contracted clergy, and partnership with community religious advocacy groups (i.e. Bikur Cholim, Jehovah Witness) Facilitates bereavement services for multiple populations. Works closely with Hospice/Palliative care team. Interfaces with the HMH network to ensure that JSUMC provides a standard of spiritual care that is consistent with network standards.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

+ Knowledge of a large variety of faith bases/spiritual backgrounds.

+ Culture Competence and awareness

+ Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred
