FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Summary:

Supervises daily staff activities for ophthalmic clinical support team.

Responsibilities:

+ Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels including the supervising of onboarding, coaching and mentorship programs. Assist with career conversations and disciplinary actions.

+ Supervises quality measures for ophthalmic clinical work-up and facilitates staff develop programs. Ensures staff compliance with clinical work-up competencies and protocols.

+ Supervises the core-process administered by Clinical Coordinators and oversees the work of the Ophthalmic Preceptors.

+ Performs staff responsibilities related to ophthalmic clinical work-ups to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolutions of complex issues and complaints.

+ Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

+ High School diploma or GED.

+ 3 years sponsored training on the job, or ophthalmic internship

+ Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare;

BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

+ Provider and Ophthalmic Scribe Certification, (OSA) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) or National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC).

+ 2 years of supervisory experience.

+ 3 years sponsored on the job ophthalmic training, or ophthalmic internship.

+ Preferred: 2 years of high intensity customer service experience.
