• Experienced Civil EIT - Land Development

    Overview

     

    Kimley-Horn's Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

    Responsibilities

    + Work on exciting land development projects, helping to design and shape communities through innovative site development engineering.

    + Get hands-on experience with site civil design, permitting, and cutting-edge software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrology modeling programs, and storm drainage design tools.

    + Collaborate with a dynamic team to tackle a variety of projects, from residential neighborhoods to commercial developments and public spaces.

    + Gain exposure to project management by assisting with research, coordination, cost estimating, and preparing bid packages, land disturbance permits, and technical specifications.

    + Learn from experienced professionals through mentorship and training while taking on real responsibilities that impact projects from start to finish.

    Qualifications

    + 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm

    + Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering

    + "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

    + Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

    + Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

    + Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

    + Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

    + Ability to work independently and as a team
