    Opportunity Overview

    Teradyne has an opportunity for a current engineering student to join our team located in North Reading, MA. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to get into the Test Engineering world in a dynamic environment, spend a lot of time in the lab and collaborate in a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will add experience in Automated Test Equipment manufacturing that includes a mix of digital, analog, and RF circuitry, and at the same time will be part of the internal NPI operation, from planning, execution to transfer to Contract Manufacturers in Asia.

     

    This is a full-time, temporary internship/co-op working standard 40-hour work week. Additional hours may be available during work week or on weekeds.

     

    This position is required to be onsite in North Reading, MA, Monday-Friday.

     

    The ideal duration for this internship is 6 months.

    As an engineering co-op/intern in this role, you can expect to work with our team of Test Engineers to:

    + Test and debug complex PCBAs and High Level Assemblies to board level and, occasionally, to component level

    + Identify, assess, document and communicate all issues encountered during execution of test processes

    + Assess test log files

    + Problem solve through creative and analytical thinking

    + Identify root causes and pursue corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of faults

    + Work closely with Teradyne Test and Design groups to obtain resolutions to issues encountered

    Electronics Knowledge:

    + Strong understanding of electronic circuit theory

    + Comprehension of digital and analog electronics principles

    + Familiarity with common electronic components

    Testing and Analysis:

    + Proficiency in conducting functionality and performance testing

    + Experience with data analysis and troubleshooting

    Communication:

    + Excellent written and oral communication

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment

    + Ability to explain technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of knowledge

    Education Requirements:

    + Currently enrolled in an Electrical or Computer Engineering degree

    + Must have completed 2 years of related coursework (Rising Junior)

    + Must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher

    + Prior co-op experience is a plus

    + Knowledge and/or work experience at Teradyne preferred

    + Demonstrated leadership within campus life and extracurriculars

     

    We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position. Candidate must provide their own transportation to and from work, in North Reading, MA.
