Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

This is a grant-funded position assisting the Pl in various research activities as part of a project to help older adults in six Ml counties with digital devices and telehealth through coaching by volunteers. We are looking for someone with a willingness to learn about the needs and assets of older adults and with an interest in learning more about applied research and evaluation.

Job Duties:

+ Participates in weekly team meetings

+ Assists with data collection and file maintenance.

+ Participates in some online/virtual and in person coaching activities.

+ Contributes to data analysis efforts

+ Participates in other tasks as needed.

Desired Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

+ Some college and a major in social science or a related field.

+ Prior experience working as a research assistant.

+ Understanding and fluency with email and calendar tools, and online survey tools.

+ Independent thinking and ability to anticipate and address challenges and conflicts in availability

Desired Skills

+ Strong communication skills

+ Experience in conducting in-person/telephone interviews or willingness to learn

+ Skilled use of basic technology (e.g., social media, Zoom, calendars).
