West Palm Beach Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (WPB GTF MRO) Materials
The WPB GTF MRO team is seeking a Materials Planner-Scheduler to enhance our engine planning and production scheduling efforts. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring material availability, mitigating part shortages, managing vendor relationships, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional areas through data analysis to maintain organizational goals and objectives. These groups include Operations, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, PW Spares, Shipping & Receiving, Supply Chain and External Vendors.
The selected candidate will support operational excellence through two critical focus areas: Materials Planning and Schedule Planning and Execution. Success in this role requires proactive supply chain management, cross-functional coordination, risk mitigation, and precise schedule alignment, reporting directly to the Operations Master Scheduler.
Core Focus Areas:
**Materials Planning:** Develop and execute comprehensive material plans tailored to engine requirements, ensuring availability, readiness, and alignment with production targets. Deliver proactive, solution-oriented support across the supply base, driving issue resolution, risk mitigation, and supplier accountability to maintain schedule integrity.
**Schedule Planning and Execution:** Drive accurate and timely updates in DOME, Smartsheet, and MRP systems to maintain operational alignment, vendor coordination, production scheduling, and risk mitigation. Demonstrate strong system proficiency, attention to detail, and disciplined documentation practices to support the Master Scheduler and ensure seamless execution of production plans.
What You Will Do:
Materials Planning
+ Develop and execute material plans to meet engine schedule requirements.
+ Partner with Buyers, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Customer Service to align materials with production needs.
+ Monitor, communicate, and mitigate material risks to ensure schedule adherence.
+ Manage urgent material issues, perform availability analysis, and maintain tracking/reporting updates.
Schedule Planning and Execution:
+ Update and maintain production schedules in DOME, Smartsheet, and MRP systems.
+ Support communications schedule, pacing, and risk tracking across operations.
+ Provide analysis for inductions, production improvements, and ad hoc operational requests.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
+ Manage supplier performance, alternate part strategies, and material escalations.
+ Expedite purchase orders, ensure transaction compliance, and maintain Tier 1 material tracking.
+ Lead supplier escalations and internal processes to protect engine schedules.
+ Conduct monthly Vendor Management Reviews (VMRs) to assess supplier performance, escalate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.
Process Improvement and Operational Support:
+ Drive standardization and process improvements for material planning and scheduling.
+ Review technical material requirements prior to inductions to ensure sourcing readiness.

Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
+ 5 years' experience in materials planning, supply chain, or procurement (manufacturing/aerospace preferred).
+ Experience with ERP/MRP system proficiency (SAP, DOME, Smartsheet) and advanced Excel skills.
+ Experience managing supplier performance, material risk, and production schedules.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Master’s degree or certifications (MBA, PMP, Six Sigma, CSCP).
+ 3 years’ experience in regulated industries (aerospace, automotive, defense).
+ Strategic leadership experience in material planning or supply chain transformation.
+ Manufacturing/aerospace preferred)
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities, mitigate risks, and drive material readiness under pressure.
+ Experience in supply chain disruption management, risk mitigation, and supplier relationship development.
+ Advanced skills in analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and inventory management strategies.
+ Strong communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally and report to leadership.

This role is:
**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
