Raytheon is looking for a **Radar** **Senior Systems Engineer** to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.
This is an onsite role in Woburn, MA
What You Will Do:
+ You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities include:
+ You will analyze radar system performance data with respect to requirements
+ You will identify performance deficiencies and proposing solutions
+ You will be defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance
+ You will be presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers
+ You will be providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques
+ Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools
+ Experience in developing technical solutions to complex issues
+ Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS
+ Experience with MS Office Suite
+ Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
+ Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
+ Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
+ Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development and implementation
+ Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
+ Previous military service
+ Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
