Collins Aerospace is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of a Software Librarian. This position provides technical software and document release support to engineering. Potential to expand into archive, rebuild, and release of software and related documentation and drawings in the Software Control Library.

What You Will Do:

+ Reviews, validates, corrects and archives engineering master data for software releases(software and documentation)

+ Install and configure development tools required for software rebuilds on multiple operating systems (VMS, Unix, Windows, Linux); troubleshoots rebuild issues with engineering or immediate work unit assistance.

+ Completes work through use of various business systems, processes and tools including SAP, Product Data Management (PDM), Global Trade, Third Party Intellectual Property (TPIP), etc.

+ Normally receives detailed instructions on all work, but follows established procedures on routine work. Requires instructions on new assignments. Works under limited supervision.

+ Contacts are primarily with immediate work unit and internal engineering customers.

+ Contacts involve obtaining or providing information requiring little explanation or interpretation.

+ Works on assignments that are generally well defined with limited complexity. Recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

+ Moderate knowledge of the job. Strong understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Acquires & applies job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine & assigned tasks.

Qualifications You Must Have:

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

+ Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

+ Understanding of the Software and Document Release Process

+ Familiar with Microsoft O365 applications

+ Knowledge of multiple operating systems (i.e windows, linux, VMS, and unix)

Qualifications We Prefer:

+ Associates in Electronics or similar field

+ Experience with Enovia PDM

+ Awareness of Global Trade and Third-Party Intellectual Property

+ Detail Oriented, strong organizational skills with the ability to execute job responsibilities

**Hybrid:** Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
