Join Delta Dental of Iowa’s mission-driven team as anInside Sales Small Business Account Executive.You will be responsible for the sales, growth, and retention of small employer (under 50 employees) and individual insurance through inbound and outbound calls for external clients and other member companies. You will facilitate lead generation, sales, cross-sell, renewals, and support existing clients along with prospects. Using a consultative approach, you will showcase the value of products and servicing capabilities while building strong relationships with key industries, brokers, associations, and businesses.

Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities:
+ Quote and sell small business and individual insurance through outbound and inbound sales channels, using a consultative sales approach. Products include dental, vision, legal and identity theft, life and disability, and caregiving plans.
+ Meet and exceed sales, growth, and retention goals.
+ Support channel partners throughout the sales process in all sales and service-oriented activities, such as marketing, advertising, sales promotions, servicing and training to achieve revenue targets.
+ Help create and improve reporting functions on key performance indicators.
+ Facilitate new business and cross-sell opportunities through outbound calls, texting, referral and email marketing campaigns.
+ Successfully manage relationships with internal and external member company clients, business decision makers and other sales channels.
+ Provide support to Delta Dental of Iowa Individual Sales and service team.
+ Share individual and small business insights with internal operating areas and key teams.
+ Foster an external image that is consistent with corporate values and objectives.
+ Facilitate lead generation, sales, support and management of current clients with the help of the Lead Coordinator.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related degree or equivalent work experience required.
+ 8+ years related sales experience required.
+ Proven consultative sales skills and ability to achieve and exceed sales goals.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CRM experience preferred.
+ Strong project management skills required.
+ Iowa Health license required or must be attained within 30 days of hire.
+ Must be willing and able to travel to other Delta Dental member companies to help grow and maintain the relationship.
