    Job Description Summary

    Reporting to the Export Operations Manager, the Global Trade Export Operations Analyst position supports the Global Trade function in maintaining BD's export requirements and controls. The Global Trade Export Operations Analyst must demonstrate strong systems knowledge including SAP and GTS. They must apply this knowledge and use discretion to troubleshoot export declarations, determine HTS and ECCN classifications for materials and maintain accurate master data in SAP GTS. The Global Trade Export Operations Analyst must review current processes and procedures while thinking critically for process improvement opportunities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + As a GTS Super-user, the Global Trade Export Operations Analyst will manage global trade data and provide systems support and maintenance.

    + Support GTS master data activities to include classification of materials (HTS, ECCN) as well as dataload support for critical integration projects.

    + Update HTS and ECCN assignments in accordance with U.S. Customs changes.

    + Manage data provider and work closely with IT to ensure U.S. Customs updates are uploaded into SAP GTS.

    + Work closely with IT on GTS demands and testing.

    + Review and analyze GTS blocked documents and export declarations, adding material classifications or license information as necessary.

    + Maintain and validate license information for licensable shipments.

    + Review blocked documents including embargo and technically incomplete documents.

    + Review and troubleshoot incomplete export declarations.

    + Review and correct errors from AES, including fatal and compliance errors.

    + Support Regulatory by creating blocks in GTS for SKUs that cannot be exported.

    + Review and approve invoices for manual export shipments outside of ERP system, including adding HTS and ECCN information and EEI data elements.

    + Review, update and socialize Manual Invoice SOP.

    + Train BD associates on the SOP and how to complete the invoice.

    + Analyze large amounts of data, generate and report key export metrics and amend EEI filings, including:

    + Census reports

    + Freight forwarder reports

    + Fatal error reports

    + Provide internal support to US plants with export shipments, including:

    + Failures to GTS

    + EDI issues with freight forwarders.

    + Provide guidance on how to correct shipments/GTS due to plant mis-ships.

    + Provide chamberized certificates of origin as requested.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    **EXPERIENCE:** 3- 5 years of import/export experience

    COMPETENCIES:

    + Knowledge of export regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

    + Experience using SAP ECC, SAP GTS.

    + Reporting and Analytics.

    + Microsoft Office.

    + Critical thinking.

    + Ability to think globally and communicate via virtual teams.

    + Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

    + Strong problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.

    + Bilingual, willingness to learn and interact with global teams.

    EDUCATION:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Science, or other related field or equivalent.

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    + Customs Broker License preferred
