    + This job is part of the Revenue Management Team within the Revenue Division.

    + Responsible for leading a team to drive significant top line revenue improvements for American Airlines and in being a thought leader and active participant as a member of the RM leadership team

    What you'll do

    + Leads a team to identify and quantify revenue opportunities through in-depth analysis of data

    + Creates and fosters a relentless focus on marketplace execution by assessing the competitive marketplace, identifying new revenue opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting.

    + Works to develop analysts to ensure a high level of job proficiency and prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility

    + Develops and recommends practical revenue management solutions

    + Takes a strong leadership role in a wide variety of revenue initiatives, collaborating with other departments including Pricing, Yield Management, Network Planning, Sales, Finance, AAdvantage, and Marketing.

    + Drives and coordinates projects with other departments and presents analyses and recommendations to Senior Management

     

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Bachelor's degree with significant coursework or experience in a quantitative discipline (economics, mathematics, engineering, finance, etc.), or equivalent training/experience

    + 7 years related experience

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Experience directly or indirectly leading teams with significant enterprise and/or top line revenueresponsibility

    + Demonstrated ability to solve and lead others in solving complex analytical problems

    + Master’s degree in business-related discipline

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    + Ability to manage a team and support critical business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    + Ability to tailor communication to the audience in a way that is meaningful and elicits a response that is geared towards action and, or understanding for future decisions

    + Ability to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view at all levels of the organization

    + Ability to solve and to lead others in solving complex analytical problems

    + Independent work ethic, inquisitive nature and history of challenging the status-quo

    + Ability to thrive in an unstructured role, work through ambiguous problems and be resilient in the face ofcriticism and constructive feedback

    + Demonstrated ability to take a project from conceptualization through implementation

    + Ability to develop and adhere to timelines, manage projects with minimal supervision, and work well in teamenvironment

    + Ability to take action through intelligent risk taking, innovation and entrepreneurship
