Program Summary:
In this role, you will be working for the long-term incumbent and leader in flight test and will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting flight test. NAVAIR is the principal provider for the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE), while contributing to every Warfare enterprise in the interest of national security. Job Summary:
KBR is seeking a part-time C/KC-130 Pilot to join our Team at the Naval Air Station Point Mugu, California. As part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization supporting both U.S. Government and Commercial Agencies, the highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew Project and Flight Test support.
Note: This is a part-time position.
Role and Responsibilities:
+ This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center, VX-30 at NAS Point Mugu, CA.
+ Supports Flight Test, Aerial Refueling, logistics, and post maintenance check flying as an Aircraft Commander across legacy C-130 platforms.
+ Directs aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution and reporting in support of collateral tasks within the customer flight program.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of related experience.
+ Minimum of 1000 pilot hours in the C-130 aircraft and have been designated as an Aircraft Commander in the C-130.
+ Instructor experience or designation as a flight crew check pilot and a Type/Model/Series Instructor in J-model and/or Legacy C-130 aircraft platforms.
+ Must be FAA or Military instrument flight rule certified and have at least an FAA Commercial Pilots License with Multi-Engine Land rating.
+ Navy Aeromedical standard service group 1 or FAA CFR Part 67 Second-Class Airman Medical certified required.
+ Must meet current CNAF 3710.7 series physical and physiological minimums for C-130 T/M/S aircrew positions.
+ Complete an annual Naval Air Training and Operating Procedure Standards (NATOPS) flight check, open and closed book tests and egress training.
+ Complete annual ground and flight Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
+ Support all aspects of flight test as project officer in addition to instructing, logistics, and post maintenance check flying.
+ Selected Applicant may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
+ An active secret level security clearance is required.
+ Must be able to travel up to 25% as required by contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Advanced Engineering Degree.
+ RDT&E flight experience and C-130 NATOPS instructor qualification.
+ KC-130 F, R, T, or J model type of aircraft experience preferred.
+ E-2C or E-2D Hawkeye pilot qualifications preferred

+ 40 hours/week
Compensation:
$176,660 - $264,990
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
