KBR is seeking an Image Analyst to support a government customer in Washington, DC. The Image Analyst provides expertise in imagery science, imagery analysis, and data curation to enable the detailed technical analysis of GEOINT products. This role will also support algorithm development and validation related to imagery science tasks. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of both Optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide imagery analyst support through technical analysis and review, consultation, and general support.

+ Curate datasets by downloading and transferring data, checking imagery, annotating and labeling as needed.

+ Provide image processing algorithm validation and verification in support of GEOINT product quality assessments or ad hoc customer requests.

+ Support algorithm development in support of image science tasks.

+ Overall, you will do a lot of technical support tasking for the group, which requires some competency with computers and data. If you have some coding experience, that will come in handy but is not necessary.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Requires 1-6 years of experience Image Science or Image Analysis

+ Experience with different image modalities (Optical, SAR, IR, Spectral, Lidar)

+ Working knowledge of GIS software

+ Strong motivation to be proactive and a willingness to learn

Preferred

+ Operational experience with overhead imagery

+ Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

+ Experience creating analytics products

Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI
