    Job Description:

    The Post-master's Internship is a rich learning experience in the field of Medical Family Therapy and Addiction Medicine.

     

    During your training you will be exposed to several models of integrating behavioral health services in specialty and primary care settings. The intern is expected to be a fully functioning member of our integrated behavioral health (IBH) and is responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism in patient care, collaboration, documentation, and other job duties. In the clinical role, the intern will provide services for an assigned caseload, as well as population-focused services to meet the needs of the clinic.

    Job Essentials:

    + Under the direct supervision of a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, the post master's intern will provide group, individual, and family therapy services using therapeutic techniques and evidence-based approaches in tandem with the treatment plan created after the initial comprehensive assessment.

    + Conduct comprehensive substance use and mental health assessments with individual patients and/or in groups to assess appropriateness for program and to write treatment plans by obtaining patient diagnostic information, history of illness, cultural assessment, strengths, screening and risk assessments, trauma, family and social history.

    + Plan and develop group and individual treatments in coordination with and as a member of a multi-discipline team. Ensures the follow through of treatment goals by coordinating post program care.

    + Maintain all ethical and legal obligations designated by the licensing board, which you practice under.

    *SET INTERN RATE OF $25.58/HR*

    + 53,206.40 stipend to be paid out biweekly for 53 weeks

    + $4,000 pro-rate bonus or raise with the achievement of CO licensure

    + $1000 moving bonus

    + $1000 CME (handled at the department level)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Experience working in integrated behavioral health within in medical clinic preferred

    + Experience with independently facilitating group and individual therapy (with supervision support)

    + Knowledge of the medical model of substance use disorder and pharmacotherapy

    + Screening and assessment and brief intervention of common mental health conditions that present in primary care office (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.)

    + Experience with managing patients in crisis including but not limited to suicidal ideation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Required

    + Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

    + Knowledge of theories, models, interventions, and ethical and legal standards in the field of psychotherapy.

    + Timely and accurate documentation through the electronic medical record and email is required for all rotations.

    + Clear and effective communication skills.

    + Effective and system-informed inter-professional collaboration.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $25.58 - $39.49
