    Job Summary:

    The Engineering Specialist will apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems across various projects. Your role is critical in analyzing design proposals, optimizing processes, and developing innovative solutions that enhance product performance and efficiency. With a strong grasp of engineering principles and a focus on precision, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that engineering standards are met and projects are executed flawlessly.

    Core Responsibilities and Tasks for the Electrical Controls Engineer:

    Configures solution based on customer specifications and requirements.

     

    Applies knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA and CE standards to control system panel designs.

     

    Skills to write PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems utilizing Rockwell / Allen Bradley products

     

    Configures automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus.

     

    Conducts Controls Checkouts, Factory Acceptance Testing, and configuration of control and automation systems

     

    Directs Field Service Engineers regarding site acceptance testing and may travel to site for system integration

     

    Troubleshoots equipment operation issues which may be related to electrical design or programming

     

    Suggests and implements solutions

     

    Takes on leadership role in the technical direction of other engineers

     

    Commits to the deliverables with customers and/or management

     

    Takes ownership of business practices to achieve impact within the role

     

    Drive innovation, and continuous improvement of systems, methods, processes, tools, and standards.

     

    May serve as a mentor for others

     

    Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical (plus)

     

    Effectively presents and explains engineering concepts both orally and in writing.

    Technical Knowledge and Expertise for the Electrical Controls Engineer:

    Experience in panel design and controls system engineering is strongly preferred, as well as experience in water industry

     

    Ability to work independently and without guidance to meet all obligations in the Controls Engineering design arena

     

    Ability to think strategically and drive strategic objectives into operational reality

     

    Ability to guide and mentor other engineer team members to generate controls deliverables with a continuous-improvement mindset

     

    Ability to innovate and adapt

     

    Ability to manage relationships with third party panel fabricators, and to drive adoption of standards, processes, and continuous improvement within those organizations

     

    Ability to manage others who do not technically report to you

     

    Ability to promote teamwork, drive excellence, and create an environment of trust and innovation

     

    Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is a plus

     

    Excellent collaboration and project skills

     

    Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in work areas

     

    Strong business acumen

     

    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

    Qualifications:

    A bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering degree preferred but will consider degrees in other engineering disciplines.

     

    10+ years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

    Salary range:

    $93,900.00 - $169,000.00
