Job Description
+ Generally Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 2 PM (shorter days on Fridays).
+ Two to three weeks off between Fall and Spring semesters, one week off for Spring break, ten paid holidays, sick leave and personal days, and a generous benefit package.
+ Annual Salary is for the 9 months included in the Academic Year (late August to mid-May). Summer work is not part of the contract and faculty often work in the industry during that time.
+ Saint Paul College provides generous Professional Development funds, including tuition waiver benefits for employees, spouses, and their dependents.
+ Electrical Program faculty at Saint Paul College have many years of experience working both as instructors and in the industry. The person selected for this role with have access to a number of teaching materials, resources, and mentoring.
Position Responsibilities
+ Provide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise students.
+ Develop and/or revise curriculum.
+ Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events.
+ Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events.
+ Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College.
+ Promote diversity and cultural competency.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
+ Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
+ One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
+ State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License
Preferred Qualification
+ Teaching experience with a diverse group of students
+ Teaching in a community/tech college environment

Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary and benefits will be provided according to the negotiated labor agreement.

Monday-Friday full-time unlimited.
