Quality Receiving Inspector

Pay Range: $20-24

Job Description

+ Perform detailed product inspections on in process and finished goods, including but not limited to First Article Inspections.

+ Document characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail.

+ Initiate Quality Notifications for any non-conforming products.

+ Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the inspection of hardware and to document reviews.

+ Identify any potential quality issues early and help to prevent their occurrence.

+ Communicate effectively to other personnel any quality issues needing resolution.

+ Visually and dimensionally perform detailed inspection of individual parts to First Article Inspections and drawing BOM

+ Communicate inspection findings to mission systems team (onsite in CoS) and Interiors Quality management

+ Interpret blueprints, visual specifications, coating specifications, and other inspection documents

+ Use calliper’s and micrometer’s and other testing equipment

+ Relate inspection findings on actual components to blueprint requirements and specification requirements

Basic Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with 2 years of relevant experience

+ Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

+ Ability to pass color/vision test

+ Must have basic computer skills including the ability to use operating software including SAP

+ Must be able to use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages

+ Experience performing detailed product inspections using blueprints and specifications

+ The ability to utilize computer systems including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes

+ The ability to review documents and to identify and resolve any errors or missing information.
