Position Summary:
Provides consistent leadership of nursing personnel and supports patient
focused collaborative care in a shared governance environment. Responsible for coordinating, facilitating and integrating the optimal provision of service on each unit. In conjunction with this, other responsibilities include providing clinical expertise coaching/mentoring of staff and customer service. Assumes responsibility for the nursing units when Clinical Managers are not present.
What the Infusion Supervisor will need:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
+ Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan
+ Two years' experience as RN Staff Nurse with demonstrated leadership required, preferably work experience concurrently in appropriate specialty area. Ability to meet all behaviors of the RN Staff Nurse Job description.
+ Ongoing continuing education required with national certification preferred. Position requires RN to be familiar with hospital and department policies and procedures, accepted methods of requisitioning ancillary department service work and familiarity with the medical staff. This knowledge is normally acquired through 1-3 months of orientation time.
+ Must maintain current nursing knowledge and BLS certification and required CEUs for licensure.
+ Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of MHP.
