Position Summary:
The Clinical Researcher will play a key role in the Business Acuity Program, a strategic initiative aimed at assessing, engaging, implementing, and sustaining innovative business and financial practices in home and community-based services (HCBS). The program integrates Implementation Science (IS), financial analysis, and predictive analytics to optimize provider operations and improve service delivery.
The clinical researcher will focus on data-driven decision-making, predictive modeling, and financial sustainability strategies to enhance HCBS provider performance. The role involves implementation science in all aspects, quantitative research, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis, contributing to the development of evidence-based solutions for long-term program impact.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Research & Data Analysis:
+ Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate financial and operational trends in HCBS programs.
+ Develops and applies predictive modeling and machine learning techniques to assess program outcomes, efficiency ratios, and cost analyses.
+ Identifies key demographic, clinical, and financial drivers influencing service transitions and provider sustainability.
+ Implementation & Business Strategy:
+ Supports the integration of Implementation Science (IS) frameworks to enhance provider practices.
+ Works with stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable policy recommendations and business strategies.
+ Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
+ Collaborates with state agencies, healthcare providers, and/or fiscal positions to improve business models for HCBS providers.
+ Assists in developing and delivering training, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
+ Engages in cross-disciplinary teamwork, working closely with grant manager, consultants, and graduate assistants.
+ Grant Writing & Publications:
+ Contributes to grant proposals and research funding applications.
+ Prepares manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presents findings at professional conferences.
+ Ensures research aligns with funding requirements and program goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong background in quantitative research methods, data analytics, and financial modeling.
Knowledge of healthcare financing, Medicaid policy, or HCBS service delivery is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in grant writing and academic publishing.
Experience applying Implementation Science (IS) methodologies in business or healthcare settings.
Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research team.

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s level in Psychology, School Psychology, Accounting, Public Health, Social Policy, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral
